A firm quote for anything bigger
Rewires, switchboards, new circuits, fit-outs, heat pumps. We look at the job, or your photos, and give you a figure that holds for the work described.
By the hour when we cannot know until we look
Fault-finding and repairs. You hear the hourly rate when you book, plus GST, and you pay for the time it takes.
If the wall holds a surprise
The work stops and you are shown what is there. You get the new figure before anyone carries on, and nothing is spent that you have not agreed to.

You get the certificate the law requires.
On all fixed wiring work, including a new power point, you receive a Certificate of Compliance. It is the record that the work was done to New Zealand’s electrical safety standards and tested. Keep it: a buyer, an insurer and any future electrician will ask to see it.
A small repair, like swapping a socket or a light fitting, does not need one.

Will I get a fixed price or a quote?
The common jobs carry a firm price, confirmed against your job before anything starts. Anything larger or less predictable, such as rewires, fit-outs or new circuits, is quoted firm once we have seen the job.
What happens if the job turns out different once the wall is open?
The price covers the job as it was described when you approved it, and that is how most jobs finish. Walls and ceilings occasionally hold a surprise: old wiring, no clear route for a cable, something a previous owner left behind. If that happens the work stops, you are shown what is there, and you get the new figure before anyone carries on. Nothing is spent that you have not agreed to.
Do the prices include GST?
Hourly rates are shown ex GST, with + GST on every line, which is how trade rates are usually quoted. Fixed prices are given GST-inclusive when you receive them. Materials, labour and GST are itemised on every invoice.
Is there a call-out fee?
No separate call-out fee in working hours. After hours, the rate is higher and we tell you the figure when you call, before anyone is dispatched.
Will I get a Certificate of Compliance?
Yes, on all fixed wiring work. It is itemised on the invoice where it applies.
What does the guarantee cover?
3 Core's workmanship. If something we installed or wired fails because of the workmanship, we come back and put it right. Manufacturer warranties on fittings and appliances sit alongside that.
